Our thesis:
AI has given rise to a new type of business. It's AI-enabled software with a SaaS business model and it leverages service and community for lasting customer relationships. Dent is well placed to identify and develop these businesses.
The UK is a phenomenal place to launch a business - especially an AI enabled software business. It has a concentration of talent, access to global markets and reliable startup ecosystem. Dent has a proven playbook, distribution and networks to propel companies towards their first £5M of revenue.
The USA is in a league of its own for scaling-up and commercialising that value of a company. American business culture allows for big multiples, access to deep pools of capital and the world's best scale-up ecosystem. Dent has access to potential US Acquirers.
Our strategy is to launch AI-enabled SaaS applications from the UK, grow them to £5M+ ARR and then strategically exit to US Acquirers for £20M-£120M. We deliberately avoid VC or PE funding options so that we aren't beholden to power-law dynamics or IRR lock-ins. We focus on getting a reliable, healthy return for founders, Angels and Influencers. Our ventures aim to leverage UK startup schemes like SEIS/EIS and other grants and tax incentives.
